Highlights

The Promenade des Anglais - the most famous tourist attraction in the city. It is lined with excerllent cafes, bars and restaurants and it provides a lovely walking route through the city. Drop into the Negresco for a cheeky Aperol Spritz.

The Old Town - with its shady streets, shuttered windows and colurful buildings, the old town is a must-see whilst you are in Nice. There a coupl eof excellent markets to explore, especially the daily flower market, Cours Saleya.

The local food - The cuisine in Nic eis excellent. Taking it inspiration from France, Italy and Northern Africa, it is a wonderful city to eat in. Whether it is the Salad Nicoise, Pan Bagnat or Socca, Nice has a range of excpetional local disahes.

Nice Castle Hill - Owing its names to military base that overlooked the city from the 11th to the 18th century, the views from the top are incredible.

Beach Time - The best swimming / snorkelling beaches are in Villefranche sur Mer or Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat but if you want to sunbath, then head to one of Nice’s private sand beaches e.g. Castel Beach. The beaches in Nice are pebbles and not always the most easy to relax on.

Coastal Walk - Get your walking shoes on and head along the coastal path which heads East out of the city. The views of the Mediterranean are wonderful.

Monaco - If the Glitz and Glamour of Nice is not quite enough, then head to Monaco for some serious G&G. A short drive from Nice, Monaco is a stunning little principality and the hotels, restaurants and casinos. although pricey are exceptional.
