Mexico's Baja California peninsula in the NW of the country is highly acclaimed for glorious beaches, offering all manner of water-based activities and a casual laid-back atmosphere. Playa El Médano is Cabo’s principal beach, dotted along the shoreline with outdoor restaurants and numerous bars. Gourmet dining, sophisticated wine bars and live Latin entertainment heat up the night. Past the marina is Land's End promontory, sandwiched between Playa del Amor (Lover's Beach) and El Arco, a natural rock archway created by the forces of nature in the sea cliffs, El Arco is the subject of many a photographer's expert lens. Sea lions frequent the area and this location rates as excellent for couples looking for a romantic spot to witness spectacular Pacific ocean sunsets.

Golfing Cabo San Lucas offers so many variations, because the quantity and quality of true international championship courses and here are a few suggestions. Club Campestre San Jose and the Palmilla Golf Club are two very popular courses, both having extensive varied terrain, superb layouts, challenging fairways and greens and sensational scenery, to take one's mind off golfing as you navigate your way around the 18 holes.

Cabo San Lucas also boasts plenty of links courses such as Cabo del Sol Desert and the twin Ocean Course. Then Diamante Cabo San Lucas and El Dorado Golf Course feature 18-hole layouts with incredible views, challenging water hazards (some might say too many) and pristine greens.

In a nutshell Los Cabos is safe, great fun and certainly unique.
